is it when lily watched the words form on voldemort’s lips
knowing she would never see her son grow?

or is it when james beheld the intruder
and realised he had been betrayed by his best friend?

or when sirius
fell on his knees next to his brother in all but blood
and screamed?

was it grief when an eleven year old boy learned of
his parents’ murder after years of knowing a lie?

is it grief to live a lie or learn the truth?

is grief all the above or so much more?

i ask again, what is grief?
